Morton Junior High School News and Notes

This was sent out to 8th Grade parents on May 20... Morton High School will be switching to a locker request system.  This change is due to a vast majority of students not using their lockers. Many students have found they do not need a locker due to MHS allowing students to carry their backpacks throughout the school day.    However, any student that wants or needs a locker, we are happy to provide them with a locker.  Lockers can be requested at any time using the locker request link on the school website.  You can find this under the "Students" section of the Morton High School website.  Students will also be emailed the sign up link in their student email both today and again at the start of next school year.  -- Todd Herrmann Assistant Principal / Dean of Students (A-L) 309-284-6091 Morton High School

Parents and Guardians,  I just wanted to send a quick note… We sent home a yearbook ordering reminder flyer with students on Friday.  Well, a small detail “got through the goalie” with this one.  The deadline is mostly accurate.  You do have until May 27.  However, the year was incorrect!  In case your student didn’t bring the flyer home, here is the ordering link .   Also, tonight is Awards Night.  We will start at 6:00 and be done by 7:00.  It will be streamed on Morton Potter TV .  Have a great day! Parents and Guardians,  Here is our final newsletter , and we hope you find it informative. As the year winds down, I just wanted to say a sincere, "Thank you!" for your support and efforts this year.  I know I speak for the staff when I say we are so lucky to work with such great students and supportive families. Our annual Awards Night is scheduled for MONDAY , May 19 from 6:00-7:00.  All students being recognized with an award were mailed invitations last week.   Our last day of school is Friday, May 23 and it is an early dismissal at 11:00.  Report cards will be emailed out on Wednesday, May 28.
