Parents/Guardians, One of our favorite days of the year is Grandparents Day. This year it is on Friday, April 25 , and it is always a great experience for both our students and their grandparents. We are not exactly sure how long we have been celebrating Grandparents Day, but our best guess is around 40 years. This day has gotten so successful that we have broken it into two parts: 8th Graders have breakfast and take their grandparent(s) to two morning classes 7th Graders have lunch and take their grandparent(s) to two afternoon classes In order to plan and be adequately prepared for the day, we need parents to complete two steps: fill out this registration form and purchase meal tickets . These two steps are very important to the planning and preparation of the day. The registration is as detailed as it is because often times grandparents will bring lunch with them. There is still available slots for the Service Squad’s bell ringing on Thursday afternoon at Farm and Fleet and Walmart. You can sign up in the office. The RISE students have started a service project for kids in need of warm winter items! Please join us in donating new or gently used winter gloves and hats to Peoria Rescue Mission. You can drop off these items under our Giving Tree in the Kiln foyer starting this week through Thursday, December 19th.
