Help-a-Thon - Business Advertisement Opportunity

This was emailed to parents on Aug. 25, 2024: Parents / Guardians,  Our 12th annual Help-a-Thon has begun!  Hopefully you saw the envelope and paperwork given out on Friday! Again, participation is voluntary, but we hope you will consider this as this is our ONLY PTO fundraiser and it allows us to provide many great opportunities and resources for students.     As I mentioned at Thursday’s Meet the Teach night, we have a sponsorship opportunity for any business that would like to advertise on the back of our 600+ T-shirts.  The cost is $400 and can be paid via cash or check (made out to MJHS).      Please let me know if you have any questions or would like to participate. Or you can simply complete this form .   We are fortunate and grateful to have such supportive families.   Thank you! Chris Carter Principal

8/14 Meet the Teacher Night Reminder Email

Parents / Guardians, Welcome to the new school year!  We sincerely hope everyone has had great start to the new year.   Tomorrow’s  Meet the Teacher Night  is from 6:00-8:00.  Parents will follow their student’s daily schedule, giving each class 10 minutes so you can hear details from each teacher. We encourage everyone to bring their student's schedule.  We recommend using the PowerSchool App. If you need the schedule, please stop in the office, and we will gladly print one for you.   Everyone will start in the Kiln (new gym) at 6:00 for a few brief remarks and then move to their first hour class at 6:15.  No worries, we will not mark anyone tardy.   We hope to see you all there! Chris Carter Principal BTW - If you need to leave any medication at school, here is the  form  that needs to be filled out.

Parent Email - Aug. 5

Parents & Guardians,  Student schedules are in the process of being made visible online.  You should now be able to view schedules (and locker info) from a browser in PowerSchool.  We hope to have schedules visible through the PowerSchool App by the end of the day.  We are still making tweaks and changes so there are some schedules that will still be changed in the coming days.   Regarding the Registration process, please be sure to complete all eight sections and submit each one individually.  Mrs. Presley will reach out to you if you haven’t completed it fully.  Students are free to come in this week and “move-in” to their lockers and tour the halls to get a better feel of the building.  The building is open from 8:00-2:00.  (You can stop by the office if you need your locker info.) Fall orientation for incoming 7th Graders and new 8th Graders is on Monday, August 12 from 1:00-2:00. Please meet in the Kiln (new gym).    If your student is enrolled in a music class or has made a f
