Parent Email: Securly Web Filter

Sent to parents on 11/19/24... Parents & Guardians,  I wanted to remind everyone of a service Morton #709 provides through our online filter, Securly.   When students are registered each summer, we provide parent/guardian emails directly from PowerSchool to Securly so they can send home weekly emails detailing each web search your student makes on their school-issued IPad.  This email is sent weekly at approximately 12:00AM each Monday morning.   This allows families to view the exact terms their students are searching online while at school and at home.  In this weekly email, you will see the exact terms searched and whether or not the search was allowed or prohibited.  I would also like to remind you that for all online activity, any and all results are run through our web filter. Cafeteria's Chocolate Milk

Parents and Guardians, On Wednesday, November 13, our Food Service Director was made aware of an issue involving some of the chocolate milk cartons in our most recent delivery.  We learned that some cartons of chocolate milk appear to be spoiled, yet they are not expired. Our Food Service Director has taken corrective action by pulling the chocolate milk option. She is also working with the local vendor on getting a new delivery of chocolate milk cartons to our schools. Unfortunately, this issue may be impacting other districts in the Central Illinois area.  Our next delivery of chocolate milk is scheduled for Monday morning and we hope to have this issue fully resolved.  Until then, we have arranged with the supplier to have additional white and strawberry milk on hand for school lunches on Friday.   We apologize for this inconvenience since we know how popular chocolate milk is with many of our students.
