Cafeteria's Chocolate Milk

Parents and Guardians,

On Wednesday, November 13, our Food Service Director was made aware of an issue involving some of the chocolate milk cartons in our most recent delivery.  We learned that some cartons of chocolate milk appear to be spoiled, yet they are not expired. Our Food Service Director has taken corrective action by pulling the chocolate milk option. She is also working with the local vendor on getting a new delivery of chocolate milk cartons to our schools. Unfortunately, this issue may be impacting other districts in the Central Illinois area.  Our next delivery of chocolate milk is scheduled for Monday morning and we hope to have this issue fully resolved.  Until then, we have arranged with the supplier to have additional white and strawberry milk on hand for school lunches on Friday.

We apologize for this inconvenience since we know how popular chocolate milk is with many of our students. Thank you for your understanding and we will keep you informed as we receive updates on this chocolate milk issue.

Dr. Joe Sander
Assistant Superintendent
