Bonus Field Trip Info

Parents and Guardians, 


As part of the Help-a-Thon, students who raised $250 or more have qualified for a bonus field trip.  We are going to volunteer at the Salvation Army’s Toys for Tots sorting facility at Northwoods Mall. 


All students who qualified were sent an email this week explaining the details.  I have pasted the email below. 


Here is the week’s schedule:

Red Team - Monday, November 17, with Mrs. Williams and Mrs. Bonich

Gray Team - Wednesday, November 19, with Mrs. Getz and Mr. Bishop

White Team - Thursday, November 20, with Mr. Swearingen and Mrs. Rabe

Green Team - Friday, November 21, with Mr. Ames and Mrs. Cox


To clarify, the school will be buying lunch for the students.  


We anticipate this being a great experience for our students.

Email sent to students, on Nov. 20:

You qualified for the Help-a-Thon’s bonus field trip to the Salvation Army’s toy sorting facility at the Northwoods Mall on______________. 


You will be leaving around 8:30 and will return after lunch at approximately 12:30. We will call you to the office over the intercom.


Schedule:

8:30 - Depart for Northwood Mall

9:00 - Begin volunteering

11:00 - Depart Northwood Mall for lunch (location is TBD)

12:30 - Arrive back at MJHS


Please wear your Help-a-Thon t-shirt.  Phones are prohibited.


You will be responsible for your missed work, so be sure to communicate with your teacher this week.

Grandparents Day Reservation

  Reservation Link Info Flyer  Email: Parents and Guardians,  One of our favorite days of the year is Grandparents Day. This year is is on Friday, April 26, and it is always a great experience for both our students and their grandparents. 8th Graders have the opportunity enjoy breakfast in the Kiln and then take their grandparent(s) to two morning classes.  7th Graders have lunch and then accompany their grandparent(s) to two afternoon classes.  Grandparent meals are complimentary and the student meal is $4.00.  Below is the sign-up link.     Sign-Up Form Have nice rest of your week and a restful Spring Break! 8th Grade Parent Email Regarding HS Locker Requests

This was sent out to 8th Grade parents on May 20... Morton High School will be switching to a locker request system.  This change is due to a vast majority of students not using their lockers. Many students have found they do not need a locker due to MHS allowing students to carry their backpacks throughout the school day.    However, any student that wants or needs a locker, we are happy to provide them with a locker.  Lockers can be requested at any time using the locker request link on the school website.  You can find this under the "Students" section of the Morton High School website.  Students will also be emailed the sign up link in their student email both today and again at the start of next school year.  -- Todd Herrmann Assistant Principal / Dean of Students (A-L) 309-284-6091 Morton High School
