Parent Email, Breakfast Program Begins

Students, Parents, and Staff: 


Starting this coming Monday, March 3, MJHS will begin offering breakfast in the cafeteria from 7:30-7:50am. This is open to all students.  


The menu will be posted on our homepage (morton709.org) every month alongside the lunch menu. In general, on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays breakfast will be a “grab and go” style breakfast.  On Tuesdays and Thursdays, the menu will consist of a “hot” breakfast. The cost is $1.60 with extra entrees costing $1.00 and extra milk is $.60.  Adult breakfast costs $2.50. Students who have qualified for free/reduced lunch are automatically qualified for free/reduced ($.30) breakfast. 


Because this is a new program, our procedures are subject to change. 


Current Procedures:

For students already in the gym at 7:30am, we will make an announcement releasing those interested in eating breakfast.  Only students eating will be dismissed.  For students walking into the building after 7:30, you will proceed directly to the cafeteria. Students having breakfast will stay in the cafeteria until 7:50.

Grandparents Day Reservation

This year is is on Friday, April 26, and it is always a great experience for both our students and their grandparents. 8th Graders have the opportunity enjoy breakfast in the Kiln and then take their grandparent(s) to two morning classes.  7th Graders have lunch and then accompany their grandparent(s) to two afternoon classes.  Grandparent meals are complimentary and the student meal is $4.00.  Below is the sign-up link.     Sign-Up Form Have nice rest of your week and a restful Spring Break!
