Meet the Teacher Night parent email, 8/13/25

Parents / Guardians,

Welcome to the new school year!  We sincerely hope everyone is having a great start to the new year.  

Tomorrow’s Meet the Teacher Night is from 6:00-8:00.  Parents will follow their student’s daily schedule, spending 10 minutes in each

class to hear from each teacher.

We encourage everyone to bring their student's schedule.  We recommend using the PowerSchool App.

If you need the schedule, please stop in the office, and we will gladly print one for you.  

Everyone will start in the Kiln (new gym) at 6:00 for a few brief remarks and then move to their first

hour class by 6:15.  No worries, we probably won’t mark anyone tardy.

Grandparents Day Reservation

  Reservation Link Info Flyer  Email: Parents and Guardians,  One of our favorite days of the year is Grandparents Day. This year is is on Friday, April 26, and it is always a great experience for both our students and their grandparents. 8th Graders have the opportunity enjoy breakfast in the Kiln and then take their grandparent(s) to two morning classes.  7th Graders have lunch and then accompany their grandparent(s) to two afternoon classes.  Grandparent meals are complimentary and the student meal is $4.00.  Below is the sign-up link.     Sign-Up Form Have nice rest of your week and a restful Spring Break! Parent Email, March 24, 2025 - Upcoming Testing

Parents/Guardians, We will begin our annual standardized testing when we return from spring break.  Both the 7th and Grades take the IAR ( Illinois Assessment of Readiness ). The 8th Grade will also take the PreACT 8/9 and the ISA ( Illinois Science Assessment ). These tests provide much-needed insight into how our students are progressing and in turn ready for high school.  This data also helps us evaluate our curriculum, programming, and instructional strategies.  Testing Schedule : -  8th Grade PreACT 8/9 - Thu., Apr. 3; 8:15-12:00 -  7th Grade IAR - Mon.-Fri., Apr. 7-10; 8:00-10:15 (one test per day) -  8th Grade IAR - Mon.-Fri., Apr. 7-10; 10:20-12:20 (one test per day) -  8th Grade ISA - Tue., Apr. 15; 8:15-11:30 & 1:30-3:00 Here are some testing reminders that critical to our students: Please send your students with WIRED headphones.  Air pods won’t work.  (We will have some available.) iPads need to be FULLY charged.  Stud...
