Parent Email - HoCo Tailgate, 9/25/25

Parents & Guardians - 


Next week is homecoming week, and to join in with the high school’s excitement, our annual Homecoming Tailgate will be on Friday, October 3, from 5:00 to 7:00.    


The tailgate will take place in the JH parking lot and is sponsored by the PTO and the Help-a-Thon, so it is free of charge.  


We will provide hamburgers and hot dogs, chips, dessert, and water.  Yard games and music will be available as well.  


After the tailgate, we encourage our Junior Potters to attend the homecoming football game to cheer on the Hogs versus Limestone. The football game kicks off at 7:30.  Please remember that JH students must be accompanied by a chaperone to attend HS football games. Please see the HS’s fan policy.      


We are also looking for volunteers, so if you are interested in helping out in some way, please click below for volunteer and donation opportunities.

Parent Email, March 24, 2025 - Upcoming Testing

Parents/Guardians, We will begin our annual standardized testing when we return from spring break.  Both the 7th and Grades take the IAR ( Illinois Assessment of Readiness ). The 8th Grade will also take the PreACT 8/9 and the ISA ( Illinois Science Assessment ). These tests provide much-needed insight into how our students are progressing and in turn ready for high school.  This data also helps us evaluate our curriculum, programming, and instructional strategies.  Testing Schedule : -  8th Grade PreACT 8/9 - Thu., Apr. 3; 8:15-12:00 -  7th Grade IAR - Mon.-Fri., Apr. 7-10; 8:00-10:15 (one test per day) -  8th Grade IAR - Mon.-Fri., Apr. 7-10; 10:20-12:20 (one test per day) -  8th Grade ISA - Tue., Apr. 15; 8:15-11:30 & 1:30-3:00 Here are some testing reminders that critical to our students: Please send your students with WIRED headphones.  Air pods won’t work.  (We will have some available.) iPads need to be FULLY charged.  Stud...
