Fall Sports Email, July 21

This was emailed on July 21:


Hello Junior Potter Parents! 


We wanted to remind parents that tryouts for fall sports begin next week. All student athletes must be registered through the MJHS athletics website and  have a valid IESA sports physical on file in the MJHS office in order to participate in tryouts.


For golf only, students must be registered by Tuesday, July 28th at 3:30 pm because of course reservation policies.

The mandatory tryout/practice dates are as follows; further details can be found on the attached flyers.

 

SOFTBALL

Tryouts: July 27th & July 28th


GOLF

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, July 28th 3:30 pm

Tryouts:  Girls- July 30th & Boys- July 31st 


BASEBALL

Tryouts: August 3rd-5th


CROSS COUNTRY

Mandatory Practices: August 3rd-6th


IESA Sports Physicals are valid for 13 months; school physicals are valid for 12 months.

Grandparents Day

 Friday was a great day at MJHS.  We shared breakfast and lunch with our students' grandparents during our annual grandparents day.   It is always great to have our grandparents in the building for a meal and visiting a couple of classes.  The classrooms and the lessons presented daily may look a little different but from the past, but what hasn't changed over the years is our teachers continued dedication to our students.  I think our families got a glimpse of that on Friday.   Thank you to all the parents who volunteered to make this happen once again.  I'm not sure how long we have done this, but it is suspected it's been at least 30 years.
